How to Design a PVC Banner for Perfect Printing Process

by Grace Rouse

Designing a PVC banner printing is something that sounds and seems like a simple thing. Well, it is not entirely wrong. While it technically is indeed simple to do especially with the existing technology these days, banner designing takes a little more than what you may have thought in mind. In order to create a design that works; that is effective and can attract the target audience and deliver the message you try to convey with the design of your banner, there are several considerations that need to be taken into account.

PVC is one of the best material there is for outdoor advertising. But choosing the best material for your advertising and marketing efforts is not enough. It needs to have a good design that actually reaches the audience properly. So, without further ado, here are some of the important tips that you should keep in mind as you design your banner.

1. Think of the banner size

There are a lot of different size options available for PVC banner printing that you can choose. Of course, you can’t just randomly choose any size. You have to really think about whether that size is suitable for the place you have in mind for the place of PVC banner as it gets hung later on. It can’t be too big or too small for the place. So, first, before you decide on the size, you have to check the place first and try to measure the right banner dimension that is best suited for it.

2. Simple content

The content of your banner must be kept simple. It is better if you can deliver everything with simple sentences that are attractive. You can also try inserting images or graphics that can help you explain your point and make your banner look more attractive and interesting as well.

3. Resolution

You have to truly pay attention to the resolution of images and everything else that is included in the design. Make sure that you work in 300 dpi for the whole banner design because this resolution can truly maintain its quality even upon large and high quality printing such as banner printing. Since PVC material is a material that supports high quality printing, it is important to make sure that the design of your banner can support it and create a sharp and crisp look in the final product.

4. Design in CMYK

Why do you need to design in CMYK instead of RGB? Well, it’s because you’re going to print in CMYK colors that are most commonly used by printers. They combine four basic colors of inks that are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to create more colors. Designing in RGB and printing in CMYK will get you colors that are not accurate. Sometimes you will see different colors between what is displayed on the monitor and what you get upon printing. So, make sure that this does not happen by matching the colors you design in and the printing color combination for a more satisfactory banner printing result.
